In India, October is marvelous with highly attractive festivals like Navarathri, Deepavali and Id-ul-fitr. Most of the Indian tourist destinations can be visited during this month. One can see all kinds of tourist activities during this period. The post monsoon season beginning with October make the natural ambiance cool and pleasant. This is the period when the foliage looks marvelous with fresh tender green leaves. The landscapes adorns with the lush green grass lawns and bushy plants.

All over India, the celebrations of Diwali festival begin with Dhanteras, marking the first day of Diwali Festival extending to five days.
